What profile sections are locked on a free listing?
Free listings show four sections as locked. Pay to unlock them all and get a dofollow website link.

Four sections locked on free
When you create a free listing, these four sections appear as locked:
- Founder story: the founder's story, linked from your listing
- Milestones: dated steps in your product's journey
- Demo video: link to a video
- Dofollow website link: a followed link from your listing to your site
If you fill in a locked section, your text is kept. It will show on your listing as soon as that section opens.
What stays open
Your name, tagline, description, features, category, FAQs, social links and logo are never locked. The homepage screenshot is also always open. You can edit all of these at any time from /account/listings.
Unlock all four
Pay $5 for a paid launch. All four sections open, and your website link becomes dofollow.
To upgrade a free listing: sign in, go to /account/listings and pick 'Upgrades and extras' next to your listing.
Questions people ask
- Do I lose what I type in a locked section?
- No. Anything you enter in a locked section is saved. It shows on your listing when the section unlocks.
- Which sections are always available to edit?
- Name, tagline, description, features, category, FAQs, social links, logo, homepage screenshot, your own screenshots and comparisons. Edit them anytime from /account/listings.
- Does a free listing have a dofollow link to my website?
- No. Free listings have a nofollow link. Pay $5 for a paid launch to get a dofollow link.
