How it started
Together with Natalie Lock, Neil Lock founded Zinn Hub, and he leads the business as CEO. The software behind it is his work: he designed and built the platform. He has worked in technology for more than 25 years, building software, search and hosting.
Why it exists
Fairer freelancing is the job Zinn Hub was built to do. In practice: 0% commission for sellers to start, more of the money kept by the person doing the work, and vetted sellers plus a responsive team for buyers.
What he built
The platform he wrote handles 46 languages, translating listings, briefs, messages and reviews both ways and carrying live calls with captions or a translated spoken voice. Payouts are instant, through a seller's own Stripe or PayPal, with six payout methods including crypto. KYC checks and vetting come before anyone sells, and platform payments are escrow-protected.
