About Chickadee Bandit

Chickadee Bandit: the homepage

Chickadee Bandit is a private, all-in-one family organizer built around an encrypted hub where households manage their day-to-day coordination. The platform includes over 100 customizable apps covering shared calendars, chore charts with allowance tracking, meal planning, grocery lists, location sharing with safe zones, document storage, and more. Users install only the apps their household needs and can build custom apps by describing them in plain language.

The service operates on a single household pricing model—never per person—covering kids, grandparents, caregivers, and babysitters under one subscription. It supports shared Spaces for coordination across multiple households, such as co-parenting arrangements, care circles, or community groups. The platform is available on web, iOS, and Android, with wall-display support for shared tablets.

Chickadee Bandit is funded solely by subscriptions. There are no ads, no data sales, and data export is always free. Every household gets its own isolated, encrypted database.

Common questions

Do I need a credit card for the trial?
No. You get a 30-day free trial of the whole plan with no card, no payment details, and nothing to cancel. An email arrives before the trial ends, and you only enter a card if you decide to keep it.
What happens when my trial ends?
Your hub switches to read-only mode on the day the trial ends. You can still see everything and export it, but no new data can be added. The data is held for 14 days, and you receive another email before it is removed; subscribing at any time in that window restores full access with everything exactly as you left it.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
After cancellation your data is held for 90 days in read-only mode. You can resubscribe anytime during that window and pick up exactly where you left off. After 90 days, data is permanently deleted.
What are AI credits and what do they buy?
Every paid plan includes a monthly allowance of AI credits. They pay for building an app from a plain-language description on the Apps page (usually four to six steps, one credit each), and for higher-quality reading of forwarded email or scanned photos (one credit each). Regular email and photo reading costs nothing. Unused monthly credits carry over up to a cap. Additional packs can be bought: 20 for $5 or 60 for $12.
Can I connect an AI assistant like Claude?
Yes. Chickadee Bandit speaks the Model Context Protocol (MCP), so an assistant can read your household's calendar, tasks, and app data and, where you allow it, act on them. Each adult sets up their own connection under Settings → AI Access and picks its access level.
