Intertakt
Interval timer that works with the screen off
An interval timer for HIIT, Tabata and rounds that plays beeps and voice cues over your music with the screen locked and unlimited free sessions.
About Intertakt
Intertakt is an interval timer designed for fitness workouts that runs with the screen off and your phone in your pocket. It delivers countdown beeps and voice cues over your music, allowing you to set it in 30 seconds and forget about it during your session.
The app features independent volume controls for music, voice, and beeps, with optional ducking that dips the music only during cues. It survives interruptions like incoming calls and app switches, automatically pausing and resuming from where you stopped. Intertakt includes preset protocols like Tabata 20/10 and HIIT, and allows custom interval creation with up to three plans saved in the free version.
The free tier offers unlimited workouts, all presets, voice and beep cues, and autosave with no ads. Premium is a one-time purchase adding unlimited custom plans, session history, and the ability to export and import routines as JSON files. No account or login is required.

- Do I need an account?
- No. Everything is stored on your device with no cloud or profile required.
