Pentreath & Hall

Pentreath & Hall is an unusual and exciting shop located on Rugby Street in London's Bloomsbury, housed in a traditionally painted glossy black shop front. The shop sells a beautiful, ever-changing range of antique furniture and objects, combined with their own unique ranges of homeware, paper goods and decorative items, and a highly curated selection of things made by their small number of collaborators.

Ben Pentreath and Bridie Hall came to shop-keeping unexpectedly as close friends who joined in this venture more than a decade ago. Ben is an architectural and interior designer with a practice spanning all facets of the design world. Bridie is a decorative artist and maker whose imagination explores antiquity, country houses, gardens, zoological forms, typography and decorative art. Both are creating a new British tradition that respects the past but is never dull.
