Sister Ray: the homepage

Sister Ray is a record store founded in 1989 by Neil Brown, operating from the heart of Soho, London. The shop is named after a Velvet Underground song and quickly became a fixture in the record shop scene of Soho. By 2003, Sister Ray merged with Selectadisc, combining the expertise of owner Phil Barton with Brian Selby's retiring business.

The store navigated the challenging period when the internet transformed retail, but committed to vinyl and became a major force behind Record Store Day. Sister Ray has relocated to 75 Berwick Street and is described as a great store populated by enthusiastic staff and full of quality music.

The shop offers fast delivery, secure online ordering, and free shipping for UK customers on orders of £75 or more. They buy vinyl from customers and maintain both a physical storefront and online presence, offering pre-orders, new releases, and gift vouchers.
