About Open Source
Open Source collects products whose code is published for others to read, run and change, along with the businesses that build, host or support them. Each row is a listing with its own profile, so you can scan what a project does and who stands behind it before you click through.
Use the filters in the sidebar to narrow the list, then pick a subcategory if you already know the shape of what you need: a ready-made app, a library to build on, a tool to run on your own server, or an AI project. Listings appear newest first by default, and you can sort by community votes instead. Votes can never be bought.
Founders can list here too. Every listing has one main category, chosen at submission and included free, so choose the subcategory path that matches how people will actually look for your project.

Open Source: questions answered
- What belongs in the Open Source category?
- Products and businesses built around code that is published openly. That covers finished apps, libraries for developers, tools you host yourself and AI projects. If a company offers a hosted service for an open project, it fits here too.
- How do I choose between the subcategories?
- Start with how the product is used. If people install it and work in it, try apps. If developers import it into their own code, try libraries. If you run it on your own server, try self-hosted tools. Models and related tooling go under open source AI.
- How do I get my project listed here?
- Go to /submit and paste your website address. An AI drafts the profile from that site, and you check and edit every field before anything goes live. A paid launch costs $5, while a free listing joins a queue of about 1-2 weeks.
- How are listings ordered on this page?
- Newest listings come first by default. Visitors can switch the sort to community votes instead. Votes can never be bought, so a high position by votes reflects what visitors chose, not what a founder paid.
- What should I compare when choosing an open source product?
- Read the profile for what the product does, who maintains it and how you would run it. Check how it is hosted, how it is supported and whether the project suits your skills. Then use the filters to compare similar listings side by side.
