How do I claim my business listing?
Take ownership of your listing and get the Verified badge by proving you control your domain.

Find and claim your listing
Open the listing for your business on Business Listing Finder. Select "Claim" to start the verification process. You can also go directly to /claim/<listing>.
Prove you control the domain
Choose one of these methods to verify your company's web domain:
- Email: we send a link to an address at your domain. Click it to verify.
- DNS: add a TXT record to the root domain.
- Homepage: place a meta tag on your website's homepage.
- File: upload a small verification file to your website.
Your verification code stays active for 14 days. If it runs out, start the claim process again.
What happens when you're verified
You become the owner of the listing (if it had no owner) and can edit it directly. You get the Verified badge, which shows you control the domain. The badge is never sold and stays separate from paid placement and votes.

- Pick whichever suits you: email is quickest if you access your domain inbox, DNS works if you manage your domain settings, homepage and file methods work if you can edit your website.
- What if my verification code expires?
- Start the claim again. You'll get a new code valid for 14 days.
- What does the Verified badge mean?
- It confirms you control the domain. It's not a paid feature and doesn't affect your votes or search placement.
