How the Product review works
The Product review is a paid, honest long-form write-up of your product, written from your public pages, with its own listing page.

What you get
The Product review ($19) is a substantial review we write after you pay. It has its own page at /launch/<listing>/product-review. We read your website fresh—your homepage, about page, pricing, features, FAQ and docs if they exist—and write only from what we find there and your listing. Nothing is made up.
How we write it
Our review is honest, not promotional. It covers strengths and limitations, set out under headings: key takeaways, several sections, pros and cons, who it suits best, a check against six areas (what it does, who it is for, pricing, getting started, trust and security, company and contact), common buyer questions, a verdict and the sources we used. There is no star rating.
If your website is down or blocks us, we try multiple times. If we still cannot read it, we hold the review for our team to assess rather than publish incomplete.
Where it appears
The full review lives at /launch/<listing>/product-review. On your main listing page, we show a short excerpt with a link to the full version, labelled 'Product review' and marked 'Commissioned by the maker'. Your listing's reviews page displays its summary and key takeaways. It stays separate from community reviews.
What it does not do
The review never affects votes, rankings or leaderboards. It adds no votes and does not move any position. Ranking comes from visitor votes (and on the billboard, from contributions), never from reviews. Community reviews are written by other founders separately.
Business Listing Finder also gathers all its Product reviews on /reviews, linked as "Find reviews" in the footer once the first is published.

- When will my review be published?
- We write and publish it as soon as it is ready after payment. If your website cannot be read, the review is held for our team to look at first.
- Where do I order it?
- When you choose a paid launch, add it on the plan step. If you have a listing already, sign in, go to /account/listings, find 'Upgrades and extras' beside your listing and select the Product review. See /pricing for the current price.
- Who writes it?
- We do: we read your public pages and your listing and write the review from them. You cannot edit it, but it is honest—it includes what your pages do not say as well as what they do.
