Biotadex
Photograph what you find. Biotadex names it, reads you the facts, and turns your walks into a real-world nature collection with sanctuaries, postcards, crates and a sticker album that trades.
A free mobile app that identifies plants, animals and fungi you photograph, scores them by rarity, and lets you collect them in a field guide with stickers
About Biotadex
Biotadex is a free collecting game for iOS and Android that turns outdoor exploration into gameplay. Point your camera at any plant, bird, insect, mushroom or other living thing, and the app identifies it in seconds with a confidence score. Each find is added to your personal field guide, scored by rarity from Common to Very Rare. You earn points for rare discoveries, complete daily and weekly challenges, and participate in time-limited moments triggered by natural events like first frost, golden hour or dawn chorus. The game includes stickers with fixed print runs that you can collect from crates at real landmarks and trade with friends, real parks you can claim as sanctuaries, postcards you can only create at specific viewpoints, and a community validation system where other collectors confirm uncertain identifications.
