Obra is job costing and estimating software built for contractors, architects, interior designers, remodelers and trades workers running small construction projects. Users price estimates from their own cost history, send them to clients as PDFs for acceptance, and turn accepted estimates into jobs with budgets already set. Receipts arrive from the job site through WhatsApp, email, or in-app photo upload; AI reads them and extracts the amount, vendor, date, category and sales tax, then prefills a transaction form for human review before posting. Every cost lands on the right project the same day, so contractors can compare actual spending against their estimate while the job is still running. The app supports multiple currencies per project without silent conversion, tracks change orders while preserving original contract values, and generates live cash flow, cash results by client, and budget burn charts from real receipts. Invoicing, deposits, and progress draws link back to the same numbers. Obra publishes public project portfolios with before-and-after photos and milestones, keeping financial details private. The platform works in English and Spanish at the individual level, supports custom job categories, exports to CSV, and installs as a Progressive Web App with a home-screen shortcut.
