- Empaithy™ keeps as little data as possible: session recordings are never stored, patient identifiers are stripped before storage so patients exist in the database only as codes, and all AI drafts require 100% clinician approval before entering the record. The platform is HIPAA-ready with BAA available, GDPR aligned with DPA, encrypted in transit and at rest, and maintains audit logs on every read.
- How does the platform capture session notes?
- During an in-room session or video call, Empaithy™'s AI agent joins and captures the conversation as a draft note while the clinician listens. The audio is never saved, and nothing enters the patient record until the clinician reviews and approves every word. The note includes suggested CPT and ICD-10 billing codes with evidence for each.
- How does Empaithy™ handle urgent clinical situations?
- The platform is not a crisis or emergency service and does not provide emergency intervention. If a user or patient is in crisis or experiencing thoughts of self-harm or suicide, they should contact local emergency services or a qualified crisis helpline immediately.
